I really like the Panasonic SC-HT05. Works well and is easy to get going with one exception.

I run an optical cable from a dolby/DTS DVD player to either port with no success. Anyone have advice on this one?

Hey - Can you tell me if the red light on your sub is always on no matter what or if it turns green or goes off when you power off with the remote. Plug your optical cable into the dvd player and power it on. If there is red light coming out the other end good. If not you need to enable the optical out on your dvd player through the menu.
