Nowadays, many speaker packages from various companies are produced.
Not to mention any brands or models, some claim to be THX certified and produce up to 70w / channel. All this at a very very cheap price when compared to "proper" home theater packages.
Where do these packages really stand as regards to performance?

I have logitech speakers on my PC and I am pleased. I know they don't come close to home theater quality, but I'm pleased with what I get from them, I actually use them to listen to music when I'm around the house. However, the majority of time I use my Grado SR325 headphones for watching movies and playing games on my PC. I've compared the Grado's output with what I've heard coming from a friend's good surround system with my XBOX, and I have to say that I can hear everything on the Grado's that I do on the good home theater system. In fact, the Grado's are stunning. I would recommend to anyone who's considering a good sound system for his PC to get Grado's. : ) By the way, I have an audigy soundcard.
