Hello, i was wondering if it were possible to use the 5 speakers and subwoofer that came with my DVD player on my TV? what i'm trying to say is if it is possible to watch tv or maybe use a playstation 2 with surround sound coming from those speakers and subwoofer? |

So i cant use my DVD player as a source for the speakers? all i need is for sounds from those speakers to come out when im watching TV or using a playstation 2 |

If the DVD player have speaker outputs then yes, if not you need a receiver. |

alright, i have a Magnavox MRD120 DVD player, it came with the speakers and everything, and i can hook up all the speakers it came with to the DVD player, so that is my source. Whenever i watch a movie on the player, the sound comes out of the speakers like i want it to, but what i wanted to know is if it were possible to also make that happen whenever i watch TV? so is it possible to watch tv(not watch a movie) but have the sound coming out of those 5 speakers that came with the DVD player instead of coming out of the tv? i also have satellite tv if you needed to know. |
