Wanted to verify a few things prior to purchasing about $300.00 in cable. PLEASE correct me if I am mistaken in ANY way. I want the best possible sound and Video.

DVD > Receiver (Component and Digital Optical)
Sat (Non-HD) > Receiver (S-Video and Digital Optical)
Ant > Receiver (Coax)
Receiver > Monitor (Component)

Question #1:
Because I am mixing S-Video (Sat) and Component (DVD) with Digital Optical, will the Receiver switch between the different inputs and output everything through the Componets?

Question #2:
If I want to hear sound from my TV without my Receiver turned on, can I also...

Receiver > Monitor (Digital Optical)

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

One more thing. My Receiver is an Onkyo TX-SR602. Picture of its rear can be seen through the link below.

Question #3:
What other methods can I still get audio out my TV without a Receiver being powered?

Thanks
