Well, this seemed the only appropriate space for this question...

I'm looking at buying a new reciever for myself, since I inherited a pair of custom built boxes with some 15" stuff, a couple of 3-to-4" tweeters, and maybe something else in them. (I don't know much about speakers, honestly. Just this basic description is all I know right now.)

Unfortunately I don't have a whole lot of cash to go buying a whole new set of skull-rattling speakers and a dizzying sub woofer, so I'd like to run everything through these two boxes ...

So, my question is this... can I run these two boxes using a Kenwood VRS-7100, which is 6.1, as 2.0? Or does 6.1 require that I have 6 speakers and one sub-woofer? ... Will running 2.0 lose some signal, or does a 6.1 system support this older method?

Thanks!
