Just thought I would post my system. I have: Toshiba Television (34HFX84) Sony Stereo Receiver (STR-DE675) Sony DVD (DVP-NC655P) Sony VCR (SLV-740HF) Motorola Digital Set Top Box (DCT2524/1611) Sony 5.1 Speaker System (SA-VE525) Harmony Universal Remote (H-688) I know that it is Sony heavy, but my next investment will be a Yamaha 2500 series receiver and either Polk or Klipsch speakers. The digital set top box will be replaced with a Moxi box once my cable provider offers the DVR feature in my area.

I like the Safety 1st component of the system. Do you get the signal amplified into 5.1? What a great idea! Hee hee. |

Lou Like the handy work of chasing the wall out, and hiding the loudspeaker cables in the wall, for the surrounds. I’m thinking of using (cable ducting) and placing it around the room, for the multiple JBL control 1 configuration, the cable is unsightly and looks messy, so when I can get a stepladder, I’ll be getting my cables hidden! One more thing, the misconception about 5.1 is, you don’t have to use two loudspeakers for the rears, and they should really be made up of multiples, multiples placed around the room, in a horse shoe like fashion! You’ll catch on mate don’t worry. |
