Enjoy reading this forum and find many issues confusing due to the variety of configurations and possible connections. Appreciate all the imput from many dedicated folks.

I have a Bright House Cable box, VCR, DVD,Video Cassette Recorder and a Sony Digital Audio Control Center, 5-1 speakers and sub woofer.

Instruction Manual listed several variations of hook ups.

Set up is operational and the end results look like the wiring under the dash of my car! I can clean that up.

Controversy seems to be where to start with the Cable incoming from the Wall! First to the Cable box? DVD?

I hooked from wall to cable box to DVD to TV.
Fiber Optic from DVD to Control Center.
S cable from DVD to TV.
The usual audio hook ups with a dozen variances.

Bottom line the set up works which with my abilities is just super?

How from this point do I activate the Home Theatre surround sound to work on my TV? It would seem it would just be changing or adding an audio cable?

Thanks for your time!
Robert
