Has anyone compared the above-mentioned systems before? The Genies got excellent reviews in 2004.

Both very good speakers. I love the imaging and clarity of the Orbs, as well as the look and overall design theory. Those are my things, though, so you might have different preferences. |

Hi ,
I have the genie's for 4 months nearly.. well recommended. No regrets for buying them. my advice is though listen to them first before you buy .. get normal cd's and DVD's . |

I like the sound of the Orbs over the Genie...the sub and sats sound more integrated in my opinion. The bass is definitley a lot less "boomy" on the Orb system and more accurate sounding. Disclaimer -- I own an Orb system and that brings biases. But, I've heard the Genie system more than once and never wished I had that instead. And I have to say the Genie stuff looks pretty hideous to me. |

I think the Genies look pretty cool - although I am biased as I own a Genie system myself. No regrets in buying them as well. |
