I auditioned system based on a pair of Monitor 3s through a Marantz 5400 and were very impressed. The center used was the cc-370. The salesman quoted a price of $450 for the paradigms. I'm looking to spend $1500-1600 for speakers for my first home theater. The paradigm system would cost me about $1700. The axiom system would cost me $1395. Is the extra money for the Paradigms worth it? Would I be better off with the Paradigms? |

I've read here that the Paradigms, although great speakers, are not a good match for the warm sound of a Marantz speaker. Joe |

Dwayne, Joe is pretty much dead-on with the Marantz. I have paired them with the Axiom system and the Marantz balanced the whole system out very nicely. The Paradigms are indeed worth the extra money, however, you should pair them with the right receiver. cheers |
