I am a complete novice when it comes to HT! My listening area is 12'6" x 16', it has a hardwood floor, with only a small area rug 4' x 6'. I have just bought the Sony KF42 rear projection LCD flat screen. I have seen very good customer and retailer reviews for the Athena Micra 6 speaker system. I was thinking of buying the Onkyo TX-SR502 receiver and the Onkyo DV-CP702 DVD player. I would most appreciate your opinions on these components quality and how they might compliment the Sony 42"? I'm going to have Circuit City install whatever I buy and run the wires under the floor and into the walls. Should the rear speakers be wall mounted or is it ok to place them on the Athena speaker stands? Where should I place the sub? Some threads I've seen say it should be near the TV, I'd rather hide it under an end table or behind a sofa. Thanks in advance! |
