Hi,

I'm new to this game... :-)

so was wondering what are the alternatives to the Alternatives to the SR502 and SR601. For some reason that I can't trace, I started with Onkyo, but I have no clue as to what are the other alternatives in the same price performance bracket.

Would be nice if you could point me to the right models.

af the above two I quite like the 502, but i like a couple of features of the 601, i.e. powered second zone and the programmable remote. Are there any other major differences?

What speakers whould go with these (or this class of receivers).

I know that one should start with speakers and not amps, but again for reasons of history (i started researching HTiB's), I started with the Receiver. Please feel to put me right on either of the counts...
