I'm having a very difficult time getting my receiver to decode DTS-ES or Dolby Digital-EX. I have a Denon AV 1803, which can decode both formats and a samsung dvd player (model m301) with coaxial and optical outs. The dvd player claims to be DTS capable. However, whether I use the coaxial or optical connection, my receiver only receives a 2 channel PCM signal and I end up having to use either ProLogic II or DTS: Neo 6. Has anyone else had this problem or have any suggestions? Thanks!

go to the set up menu of your DVD player. Go to audio options and from there you have to activate the DTS(DTS is not activated by default) and Dolby Digital output. For specifics, consult your dvd player manual.

Hi, I have a cable line, DVD player and VCR hooked up to my TV through an RF modulator. I now want to add my surround sound system. How would I go about doing this? is it possible with an RF modulator?
