I have an Onkyo TXSR501, Sony Wega TV, Samsung DVD player, and a Sony Playstation. Question I don't have satellite reciever or a cable box, can I hook up the TV straight to receiver so that when I watch TV I get surround sound? I got the DVD hookd up fine. At the moment I am using RCA cables and I have two S video cables for the DVD player. Can someone tell me whether or not I have to have a cable box(when I did it worked) or explain how I go about connecting everyhing?

Do you have red and white audio outs on your TV? If so, you can run those straight to one of your receiver's audio ins, such as video 1, video 2, ect.. Good luck
