I have a 50" Samsung DLP TV with an Onkyo receiver. I have the TV and DVD player hooked through the receiver. When I watch a DVD, the audio lags the video. I tried hooking the DVD player directly to the TV and the audio matches the video. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem so that I can watch DVDs through the receiver?

It is a Samsung issue, not a problem with your receiver. The samsung has to convert the DVD signal to fit its 720 native resolution. It takes the processor too long to do it so the video lags behind the audio. Are you using component cable from the DVD player? The better the signal the less likely the delay will occur. You can go to the Rear Projection TV thread and read all about this problem. http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/2/15131.html
Hopefully your TV is still under warranty because Samsung replaces the whole light engine on sets that have the A/V sync issue. Do you have the HLN50xx model?
