Thread: Run sound through stereo on AV1 |

hey all,
i have my stereo (aux mode) connected to my tv through the audio outs on the tv (red and white cable).. the sound runs fine for the normal tv stations, but when i change to AV1, or AV2 for my dvd player (actually an xbox), no sound comes out through the stereo, and i have to run the sound for these AV channels through the tv, which is not as good quality..
i want to run both normal tv stations, and AV channels through my stereo system..
any suggestions..? thanks in advance guys |

When you change to AV1 or AV2 on what? Your TV? Or, your stereo?
Are you connecting the Xbox to the stereo and the TV output to the stereo? Or, is the Xbox just connected to the TV? |

It sounds like your TV doesn't support this method of operation. You'll need to connect the Xbox directly to your receiver. The output on the TV is only for cable signals. It doesn't switch audio as well or have a pass-through. |
