Hi all. I recently gave my receiver to my little brother after having intermittent problems with the left front channel and not having enough power, but am now having problems getting 5.1 to work on his system. First, the NAD display is showing that it is receiving a 5.1 signal (it doesn't flash 'digital' and scrolls 'dolby digital') from the DVD player. I am using a coaxial digital cable from the digital out of the dvd player to the video 3 audio in on the NAD. On the OSD for the NAD, I have all the speakers set on, but only have 3 speakers here to test (he's building his system), front and center, but still NO sound. What am I doing wrong?? Any ideas would be much appreciated.. Thanks! Jason |

You need to connect the coaxial digital cable to the coaxial digital input on the receiver, not the analog video 3 audio inputs... |

http://207.228.230.231/manual/NAD-T761(EN).pdf Page 4 has the proper place to hook it up. It is labeled "6" in the picture. |
