I have a pretty good basic understanding of how the AV equipment in a home theater works/is set up. One thing I know little about it High Def. Could someone please answer...

a) If you have an HD cable box, I'm assuming your aduio will come from optical/coax since HD is usually in Dolby (and who would have HD with no Dolby?) but how does your video get from the reciever to the HDTV set? S-Video?

b) Can High Def be broadcasted, or must you have some piece of AV equipment tht puts out an HD signal (a cable box/xbox/etc.)?

I think those were my only two questions, but I am still half asleep... Why does this crap occupy my mind at 7:00am?
