I'm considering updating my receiver first (before buying other speakers) and I'm looking for something half decent but not too expensive. Good clean power without all the gadgets like multi room crap ... does anyone have any suggestions? What is the best buy out there for the money?

I heard the panasonic units with their all digital amplifiers, are they that good?
