When I connect a DVD player to a receiver using the optical jacks, am I connecting both audio (5.1) and video? Or is the optical connection just audio? or Just video? Thanks!!

The optical connection is just the audio--as is the coax digital out. |

WRONG...Optical and Coax is AUDIO ONLY......Composite, (yellow or black rca) Component RED/GREEN/BLUE and S-Video is VIDEO... |
