Man I've been racking my brain for the last 2 weeks on upgrading my audio system (long overdue). Currently I have a crappy JVC amp (pro logic, yikes), 2 SDynamic R616, SD center and rear surrounds. The only thing I can keep from my system is my BP150 Mirage sub, which after all these years still amazes me on how low this thing can go.
Anyways, I need a new system but I'm torn between (keeping in mind that I have to downsize my speakers before I get shot!)
1) Energy Take 5 system (less sub)
2) Paradigm Cinema series (less sub)
3) Athena Micra or Point 5
4) B&W Lifestyle LM1 (the small ones, no sub)
Really it's #1 and #2 that i'm split on, both are reasonalby priced here and sound pretty good in the store. Which one is actually better though? If u had to choose a small satellite surround system, what would be your choice?
After this I can start searching for a decent amp, not too many gadgets on it, just simple clean power to compliment the speakers.

I like the Cinema series from Paradigm, then the Energy take 5, then the Athena. I haven't heard about B&W Lifestyle, but I am not a big B&W fan.
