I am looking for a reciever to power Polk's RM6900 speaker system. I am considering a Sony STR-DA2000ES. I don't know if this is a good match to the RM6900's, and I don't know of any place that I could go and listen to the DA2000ES with the RM6900's. I would love to know if anyone has any thoughts on this reciever, or any suggestions on another reciever. Unfortunately, I need a reciever that comes in a silver finish.

Thanks alot for any help.

Any quality non chain audio store will let you bring your speakers into their shop to try out amps. If the Polk system is a low end system, then the sony will do fine. You just have to listen to the equipment together to know if it sounds good to you or not. It doesn't matter what something sounds like to someone else, all that matters is if it fits your listening style.
