Dude was cool... I have seen Road House at least ten times. Another sad day in Hollywood.

R.I.P. bro

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Patrick Swayze, whose good looks and sympathetic performances in films such as "Dirty Dancing" and "Ghost" made him a romantic idol to millions, died Monday, his publicist said, according to CNN affiliate KTLA. Swayze was 57.

Swayze died after a battle with pancreatic cancer. His doctor, Dr. George Fisher, revealed in early March 2008 that Swayze was suffering from the disease.

Swayze "passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months," his publicist, Annett Wolf, said a statement released Monday evening, according to KTLA.

Any of you guys seen the move Grandview, USA? It was filmed in the town I was born in. Pontiac, IL. I was a newborn at the time they filmed it and I still live close to there. It's cool that all the places on that movie are still there. If you haven't seen it I highly recommend that you do. It is a great movie. It might be hard to find though. I don't think they ever made a DVD of it so if you still have a VHS player, watch it.

Patrick Swayze, Jamie Lee Curtis, C. Thomas Howell, Michael Winslow.
