I'm looking for a portable external hard drive. My budget is about $100.

What do you guys think about this one..

I really don't need 1 TB of space, but for the price and all the positive reviews I think I'm going to get it.

When you say you really don't need 1 TB of space you really do. Trust me! Space is getting cheaper every day and I can remember paying $100 not 4 months ago for only a 500gig (maxtor) external. To get 1 TB for that is good/great.....today. Depends on how much you need that much space NOW.

It's only going to get cheaper and cheaper.

WD is the worst maker of hard drives out there. Been that way since the 90s or as long as I can remember. They are known for extremely high failure rates.

Seagate is the opposite, lowest failure rate in the business. I have yet to replace one.
