They are just going for a modern, clean look... not too bad. Reminds me of when MJF walked into that 2015 diner in Back To The Future II. Dr. Pepper ftmfw but Coke>>>>>Pepsi. |

Yeah, I dunno. I think it looks really boring and plain. I prefer Coke over Pepsi, but I'm trying to keep my New Years resolution of not drinking soda anymore. Haven't failed yet. |

Its not the first time the Pepsi symbol has been changed and it wont be the last. It has changed quite a few times since I was a kid. My Dad worked for Pepsi for nearly 40 years. He still has lots of old cans and bottles and tons of other Pepsi paraphernalia. No lie, we used to have a soda machine in our house, not a vending machine, an actual fountain. |

That's cool Jesse, fountain drinks are the only ones that I like. If it doesn't have ice and a straw I won't buy it except for juices and Gatorade etc. Pepsi first started in North Carolina in the early 1890's and it was called "Brad's Drink". The name was changed to Pepsi in 1898. Here are the logo designs over the years:

Now that I look at them again... 1898 might be my favorite. If you really look it has kind of a cool evil vibe to it. Would look tight kind of big, wrapped around the can. It's funny but alot of times the very first idea that pops into your head on something new -- may well be the best one you'll ever have. |

One of my favorite memories as a child was finding a quarter and running to the quickie mart for an ice cold bottle of Pepsi. The 1973 logo was alllll I remember. Shoot, today at Six Flags you pay $4 for a 12 oz can. |

As I said in my first post and as Reece just posted, Dr. Pepper is so much better than any other soda it isn't even close IMO. My new girl Chayleigh hates it and this could be a dealbreaker, but she is extremely hot and otherwise very cool, so we'll see. I actually just got back from town with a 54oz. Gutbuster of of the Doc. It's like liquid sex.

Always loved the Pepper! Why ppl say it tastes like medicine I have no idea. Though there's no rush like a mountain dew rush. That stuff makes the hair on my toes curl. |

Coke > Pepsi I like the new logo, looks more modern. But I will agree, if I'm drinking soda, Dr Pepper and Mountain Dew ftmfw |

Thew new Pepsi Logo is just going with the times now. It is thin text and very smooth looking. Everyone is trying to get thinner and Diet, the new logo respresents just that. A new, thinner era. I think it looks horrible. And it does kinda remind you of Obamas Logo. As for Mountain Dew's new logo.. Looks very skater-ish. It loses its professional look to it, giving it more grundge, urban skate look. I am indifferent about it.

Looks like an Apple influenced dealio. The style is definitely a trend. Will it be a fad like global warming though? Cogitate that. lol I'm inclined to believe that the success of a re-design is shown on the bottom line given that a logo is for catching people's eyes and selling things. Plus you can't really lose customers because of a label change. |
