so my brother decided to order an alienware laptop. dropped a good chunk of change. then i told him what he could have got instead. needless to say, he's returning it. i've compiled a few things and heres what i've come up with. MOBO http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131142 video card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130317 processor http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115028 HD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136076 RAM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145176 power http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341002 case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811133172 i have general computer knowledge, but i'm no expert, so if anybody has any suggestions/opinions on this setup i would appreciate hearing them. the main goal of this unit will be for gaming. he doesn't need to run them at max resolution, but i want it to have enough power to run most games without lag under decent settings. i figured to go with the sli mobo for future upgrades...and i plan on running xp pro on it |
