Today I'm taking the Yukon to get worked on. It'll be gone for about a month. If you didn't know, its getting air bags. I know how many of you hate it, but this is my style. If I had a 4wd I would definitely lift it, but its a 2wd, so air bags it is.

Heres how it'll look like once bagged. It'll actually be lower than that, lay frame, the body is about 3-4 inches off the ground.

Yeah I want the stickers made already. Also, I tore out the whole system already. All I have is a headunit, 1 set of memphis msync6 components, and 2 batteries and the alternator, plus wiring. I'm thinking about some rainbow components 3 way and a pretty decent sub stage. I don't even want to think about the system right now after the air bags haha.

definatly get rainbows they are amazing what set you looking at? and personally id go with 2way its more practical in car audio if you ask me. and im pretty surprised it takes a shop that long just to bag it!

but it is easy to turn a 2wd into 4x4

How durable are the bags? Meaning are you always riding around on inflated bags or is there a locking mechanism? I would hate to think of riding down the freeway and bang! One bag defects and you have a catastrophe.

Just curious.

they're pretty durable. but of course not as safe as a stock suspension (springs). But you gotta take the risks if your going to do this. I barely drive on the freeway paul so no big worries. I'll be safe if the bags don't rub against anything and are far from heat such as exhaust pipes.

They are safe paul i dont know about aftermarket but they are still limited to travel. Some stock vehicle's have air bags too, alot of the time it is used for towing to help level it out, plus it gives you a smoother ride. They will go bad over time but i have never heard about them just blowing out fast. Usually stock ones will just not hold air and slowly deflate so the car will sag.

okay wtf kind of air bags are you guys talking about? when someone says air bags to me, i think of air bags that shoot out during a crash for safety purposes, but based on the context of this conversation i don't think that is whats being discussed.

So how about the hydraulics that inflate the bags? Same concern. Looks cool to me tho lol.

Please tell me that your wheels will tuck up in the truck and not sit sideways. Thats the only thing I hate about dropped trucks.

Other than that, its cool. Congrats man
