Thread: I lost my Magic Card password, wondering if I'm SOL. |

Hey folks, new here, not overly knowledgeable about this stuff, but here goes. I have a BEV 3100, I have a rom11 card and a magic card. I use Magic Card 2.2 (I think)to program the card. I have a subscription to Bell so I program as married sub. I have been having trouble with my stuff, my normal subscription works fine but when I try to use my magic card I get "Card not inserted correctly". I have been doing some reading and found 2 things mentioned about this. 1. My contact points may have gotten bad as my slot in the receiver is small and the 2 cards need some force to get in there. 2. Another thingk I read is that I could slow down the programming speed when programming. Any help here is appreciated.
Also, to further complicate, I have lost my password that came with the Magic Card. Am I SOL? I tried using my bro's password he got with his, not sure if that helped any but figured I'd give it a go. It still reads Smart Card not inserted correctly.
Is this a contact issue, or a password issue and has anyone been down this road before.
Any help is greatly appreciated. |

Leadzedder it sounds like the contact points are not making contact, try bending them down just a niche |

lead i believe ur sol, u need to have the mc password in order to program the card correctly just go to www.bellexpress.vu and ck out the forums there they know there stuff. good luck! |
