This might seem like a very easy problem, however, I can't get my old Symphonics VCR to display on my new TV, nor will it record. I don't have my old instruction manual to refer back to, so I am stuck. I have tried several configurations without success. Somebody please tell me something!! Where do the connections go?

if you just want to use coax, the cable box hooks to the in on the VCR and the out goes to the TV.
