I do not know too much about TVs and have learn alot about your discussions. Would you please give me your opinion whether it is worth to buy a TV with a built in tunner. Do you think that TVs who are HDTV ready will be obsolete in few years? |

It would depend on the price difference. IMO if the tv with tuner only cost you no more than $200 comparing to the tv without, I say it is worth it. Although it is true that most people rely on their cable or sat turner to get local HD, a tv with hd-tuner built-in would give you more flexibility. It will also give you a backup if the cable or sat is down. I have a true hdtv and I hooked it up with a small $25 in-door antenna. I can actually pull in more local HD channels than the out-door antenna I got from Voom. |
