I am looking for opinions on Toshiba's Ambient Light Sensor and whether it keeps the contrast low enough to avoid issues with the lamps. I just purchased a Toshiba 50H82. I try to keep the contrast set no higher than 40. When the room is a little darker I usually turn it down to 30. The ALS usually has about the same setting as what I have chosen but I am wondering what you all think of it as opposed to just adjusting the contrast manually based on the current conditions. (This is my first RPTV and after reading some of the threads here I have already had bad dreams about burn in and stuck pixels.)
