I want to buy my son a t.v for cheistmas at 250.00 or around there are 2 true flat sceen t.v apex pf2720 with 3 comb filter componet conetions most of the bells awhistles then there is a Advent 27 flat screen q2735a same as the apex. The Toshiba 27a43 not a true flat screen. I'm not sure which to get. Is flat screen that much better or just a gimmick. I think the toshiba may be the better deal but not sure. Please give a epinion. Thanks!!

BTW he has a xbox toshiba dvd and vcr.
