Im looking at buying the 50" in the Toronto area, I can get it and a 5 year EW for 4999. This means I am getting the set for 4499 ish, which is still way more than the US price.

Canadians are always a little behind the US in technology, Im wondering if there was a recent price drop in the US market, and if I should hold off until the set is 3999 which is closer to the US price with exchange.

The 2999 model works out to around 3900 Canadian.

With a 15% sales tax the price seems pretty ridiculous.
