Is anyone else having problems with there BEV using atmega with nnw21d and jeepers 212010. I get a blank screen but the menus and program guide still work. |

Maestra.tv is now up but no new keys!!? Dsshelper says Bev is switching to Nagra2 and a card swap. Maybe, but there will still be a Nagra1. We're probably looking at a key switch-fest like the one back in the fall. Oy! |

BEV still down as of 1:10 central time. Some avr 6 users are having troubles too, but not all. Don't know if plastic is still up. Lost all channels around 3:00 pm local time. |

I had the same problem. Recoded my CAM and now have all channels except PPV. Apparently there is another ECM in the stream due to Olympics. Still awaiting new updates/patches but will keep you posted as I know. |

whats the difference between nimiq 1 and nimiq 2, they both point at the same direction and give you the same channels on BEV. I got the pansat by the way. |

nimiq 1 and nimiq 2 do not have the same channels.
nimiq 2 is mostly for their internet service with a few additional channels. You have a twin LNB dish with a SW21 awitch so the channels will combine toghther from both satellites.

tonymontana if yours is working why not share your pfg file and configuration with us. I got the old nnw21-d to work but its not with all the channels. and if your running a AVR married-sub, they are not having any problems right now. |

The best pfg i have found so far is bevis v0.8.
I'm running a 3100 with Atmega128 18mhz.

Most cases just hit "get" on jeeepers to grab the latest keys on the net. |

Snake, this is not a fix for the AVR's its for the atmega128's. The avr's should still be working with the same pfg just change the active public key in jeepers and do a full monty.

Ftp access to ftp://fryguy.ca is anonymous access with e-mail as your pasword (real or fake) you may need to enable or disable passave ftp in your client or web browser. Internet explorer will automaticly use anonymous with the password IE@ by default. so you just need to change to use passive ftp transfers (If your behind a firewall or use dsl or cable then changing this will most likely be needed)
To change for IE go to: tools/internet options then the advanced tab scroll down to where you see "use passive ftp (for firewall and DSL modem compatability)" place or remove the check mark and apply. then try the site it should now work. |

My ISP was doing a upgrade and my IP address changed,so it was the DNS pointing to my sites IP address that was causing my site to not work, should be up by now. Glad the keys worked. |

sgtppr36, you have the wrong card for this fix. If your card has a AT90S8515 chip you have a AVR card. You need the lazyboyz1.pfg for the AVR cards. |

There is a "NNW23.pfg" going around but ppl are saying its a re-name of the origional fix "Juggalo_X's_Mod.pfg" this is the first fix (I would have to compare them with a md5 hash or a handy program i have that shows differences in files). I have "Juggalo_X's_Mod.pfg" and it works perfectly on all channels.
(Either fix will work for you) |

Hi there,
i have a 3100 with an Atmega128 and whatever witch pfg i use, i always have the message "Your smarcard doesn't allow you to view this channel .. bla blah blah" it happen time to time, otherwise i have access to all channel. It's just that this is anoying me alot .. i have to power off and up than i have access again. Here the pfg i tried:

usualy a indication that your IRD#,or BOXKEY# is wrong. A wrong CAM# usualy just causes a black picture but can cause the same message. Double check your #'s generate a new CAM ID with Scammers2 and do a verify and read from the card to be sure its programing properly. |

I know for sure that the card is an AVR3 now. I tried the lazyboyz program and i lost the black screens and the errors but evry channel is blocked and red on the guide. Is there something i'm missing. Also i do not have a subscription if that matters |

Ok, so its just that you have a number wrong (IRD#,CAM#,Keys) or the active public key is set wrong. be sure the numbers are right and that the contacts are clean on your cards (AVR and CAM) for your AVR married-sub. |

Hy anyone, I have the same screen runing again and again. On the sreen I have the mesage "attention, please standby for the satellite signal thank you for your patience at the bottom Satellite:Default transponder changing continuously progress: 0 of five. My receiver is a 3100, and I have a TSOP lock, I use an ATMEGA 128. What should I do to get ride of that message and to prevent it to happen again? |

grapewine, I'm assuming you have the latest fix on the atmega.
Get to the system info screen (sys info button on the remote) and your firmware should be E469. If its not un-plug your IRD and turn your locks off. Plug back in. Then you have to wait with the power off (without the green light on but still pluged in) for it to update (green led will come on but with no picture then start blinking) this can take some time (10 min to a few hours or so). The easiest way to update it to do a erace of SA3 with a j-tag and j-keys. This will force it to take an update. also while your on the sys info check if your location ID is 0000001 i doubt this is the case. post your findings please. |

minu 6,1,1 and be sure that "Nimiq 91" is selected and do a check switch also. If you have no signal strength try changing the transponders to see if you have anything at all. If not then check your wires. |

Sure, just send me your IRD and card and I'll fix it for you.
Its half intended as a joke but also a offer to help. The reason is that if you cant fix it i basicly ned the IRD here to do the advanced trouble shooting to fix it.
(pay for shipping "with insurance" + $20 labour + price of replacement part "I will contact with price for approval first")
GENERAL PROBLEMS:
There are problems like firmware issues, TSOP ECM hits, improper Atmega lock/fuse bits (caused by anything because the card is powered to the lowest voltage the chip can run at, cause alot of problems in programing stage), D-lock falure, then some other starnge problems of a combination of things. |

Your crystal is 18.432Mhz, the CAM ID with 12 numbers heck knows. The atmel part is not an atmega 128 that can be the lock/fuse bits or the Atmega chip is gone. |

Try this: "Lock/fuse settings
Here is the lock settings for the ATMega 128
and a little proceedure that helps set these back to default.
LOCK BITS - all checked
FUSE LOW - All checked but BODEN and SUT0
FUSE HI - OCDEN, EESAVE, BOOTRST
FUSE EXTENDED - both checked
[FF][AF][89][FF] ALONG THE BOTTOM
1. Load up jeepers, and plug everything in for your atmega
as normal (ie atmega in programmer, plug cable into compurer)
2. make sure jumper is ON
3. click the atmel tab, ATmega128, erase/flash eeprom
4. when it says erasing eeprom, PULL THE JUMPER
5. Do this 3 or more times
6. then do full monty, when it says erasing eeprom,
PULL THE JUMPER, and when it says writing, PUT THE JUMPER BACK ON
7. You will get errors, go back and repeat steps 3 to 6. You will
notice that each time you do the full monty, you will write a
little more to the card before you get an error.
8. eventually you will write the card, and you will
be able to erase the eeprom WITHOUT PULLING THE JUMPER
9. your atmega is fixed. Always program at the correct frequency
Some people had to do this 2~5 times
others I have heard take up to 20 times....Good luck." |

Just to let you know that if its the last two numbers of your IRD# and CAM# that your missing thats because its not needed it should be -XX in jeepers (jeepers will do that automaticly) |

Lock fuse settings are set in jeepers not a jumper on the card.

LOL yah. If you dont have a jumpered card then you can do that step and that only to help try to recover a dead card. Just check your lock/fuse bits and see if you can change them. If not and you cant get it to do sh*t all then your card is toast. |

That fix works, so be sure to have a valid ROM3 CAM ID, (generate with scammers2)and use a valid US zip code (Use scammers2 it will show in the bottom left your zip code)one of your numbers must be invalid and its getting hit. |

A new card, the AVR cards are old technology and will not work in the future. If you’re comfortable with the AVR card the new Atmega128 cards will be the same thing other then you don’t need a plastic CAM with it, it replaces the plastic CAM the came with the receiver. And is the same size as the original CAM. You will also need a j-tag to get the box key and backup your TSOP (receivers firmware)and a D-lock (prevents a ECM from rewriting the firmware turning your receiver into a rock each time a ecm hits and saves you from j-taging all the time ecm season hits) hope that helps answer your question. |

Hit your system info button on the remote and if you have location ID 00000001 you have been hit by an ECM (electronic counter measure) and it has disabled your receiver. It’s been in the stream as of Thursday September 16th that was originally reported and confirmed. You may have been a victim to an ECM. Check and let me know. |

Then you good to go with the receiver. That means that its got to be the card. Check your numbers and use a valid ROM3 CAM ID (generate one with scammers2)and be sure all your numbers are right and Full Monty, then you should be good to go again. |

I just tried a fix called "Latest_Atmega-128_FIX_Juggalo_X's_Mod.pfg" and I did the stuff with the scammers2 but It didnt work..

Sorry but thats the .pfg that is working right now. If its not working for you then you need to do a full erace of your card to restore it to a virgin state then do a full monty. |

The channel 198 is normal thats in the clear by bev you'll allways have that channel. To full erace to virgin state you need the Flash.hex and Eeprom.eep files to write to the atmega.

To use go to atmel/atmega128/ and select write flash then select the flash.hex when done do the same again go to atmel/atmega128/ but select write eeprom and then select the eeprom.eep. now check the lock/fuse bits ans input your numbers and hit full monty when everything looks good. |

FryGuy,I did what u explained but nothing worked..Still have the Guide but NO IMAGE and NO SOUND!
1-I write flash then select the flash.hex
2-I write eeprom and then select the eeprom.eep
3-BUT I MAY HAVE MADE A MISTAKE concerning the Lock/fuse.
Because when u say "Check the lock/fuse and input your numbers",I did so by doing:
Atmel-->Atmega128-->Lock/fuse settings right?
But after that,I saw the number and just replace the 2nd column with [AF],because I saw that in the Fix folder([FF][AF][89][FF])...
What went wrong? |

Why does it need to have autoroll? Most new .pfg's for jeepers do autoroll as most people have autoroll cards.
But why does it matter? BEV hasn't rolled the keys in a LONG time! so either way it dont matter if it does or not, as it hasn't been changing. Just use the fix thats been working all along fron the aug 14th on. |

I am a newbie and need some help and hoping someone out there can assist.
I got ecm'ed and was using jkeys to erase the ird specific address, but erased full by mistake. I have never been able to write a .bin file, as my jkeys always seems to hang up. Now, my IRD will not even power on. Is there hope?

Ooopsie, I guess. I hope you made a backup first. Then just write your .bin back to the receiver. What model IRD, if you dont have the .bin for your TSOP i got a rather large collection of TSOP dumps collected. I'm sure i got one that can be used with a slight editing with TsopEdit (easiest way to edit the TSOP .bin) or a hex editor of your choice (Very hard and confusing if your new and depending on the program). It can be fixed the green light is software controled 'similar to an old computer it has software or firmware thats stored on the TSOP = "Thin Small Outline Package" its a Memory chip' its just a indicator that the receiver isn't 'booted up' because it dont have the software to 'bootup' anymore. |

I used to be able to get some (More like 3) chinese channels wayyy back when (851, 852, 853 to be exact). But for some reason I can not seem to get those anymore, I have all the other channels and seems to be working fine. Considering my parents only understand the Chinese channels, is there any way I can get them back?? I have an EchoStar 2800 with an Atmega 128 card. Any help would be thankful. |

cheeks, simply program your card again and change the CAM ID (generate a ROM3 CAM ID with scammers2). Then full monty with the new CAM ID all your other numbers stay the same. |

Hi all, I came across this board by accident and it looks like there are some very knowledgeable people here. I know very little about hacking, so I hope this question doesn't seem to stupid. I understand that BEV is going to the Nagra2 cards. I'm running plastic now and have lost the HD channels and soon will loose Venus. Is there a way to get those channels on the Nagra card?
Also, is there anything out now or in the works for when all of the old cards are swapped out? |

Help..I spent 400$ for nothing! I bought a dish 811 receiver this summer and tried to activate it with Bell last week (after starchoice contract was over) and was told THEY CANNOT ACTIVATE IT !!!
It's identical but supposedly, the software inside is different. I<m pissed off! Is there a way to get BEV working on this? It's a CARDLESS model but there is a slot for potentially using a card...not sure what its used for...since it's supposed to be cardless. Atmega? rs232 with a software? what can I do. I not really interested in suscribing to dishnet either but will need to consider doing so...

IF you can j-tag it flash it with the BEV firmware (be sure to use the right bootstrap compared to the old firmware). Once that’s done then you should be able to activate it just like it was a BEV 6120 but not so fast its not that easy.
The IRD being card less is the problem mainly if it’s been activated before. If so then it’s married to the IRD and your sh*t out of luck.

also the smartcard chip is embedded in the motherboard so even if you could jtag it and put bev firmware on it, you'd have to rewrite the smartchip with a bev rom image. say you could rewrite the chip which is a nagra 2 romX (currently impossible) you'd have to get a legit rom image off an unused or exsubbed bev 6120. in other words, take a loss and pick up the 6120, or sub to DISH with US addy. |

I guess if Bell would'nt be so stubborn and would reprogram it in their lab, it would all work well. It's a virgin unit and they should be more flexible for that but hey, I guess I will have to sub to dish. I will have to swallow my pride since I'm a beginer and don't know what equipement I need to J-tag and reprogram the unit. How much is the equipment for that? Thanks all. |

Thats right its called a access card , the technical name is a CAM (Conditional Access Module).
If you post a question with "all i get is a black screen" we need more info on your system and setup to answer it or suggest a soloution.
(Whats your system, card type, testing method, what have you done, current configuration, etc.) |

Strange, I heard some others have had problems but it's not wide spread yet. Have you beee=n hit by and ECM? Check by hitting the "sys info" button on your remote, if it says location ID 00000001 then you have been hit. |

Make sure they tell ya how they locked me out of my own server, so they could steal the database and take it for their own using. These guys are backstabbing azzholes who would fock over their own mother if it benefitted them. If by chance DSS Helper's database or forums shows up on the web somewhere, you can blame these two priks, and know that it was taken without the my consent. I personally have destroyed all data related to DSS Helper that was stored on my personal computer, and as much as I could off the server.
By the way fellas, fock off, I can't wait 'til yours comes around!
You can have the server, the name will always be mine!
To those of you that supported this website over the years I love all of you. It has been an amazing ride. As far as the whole Helper Crew, you guys are amazing, everybody that helped make this place what it was. I never thought in a million years that we would come this far. I'm sure you all have you own idea about me, but like I said, go ask SNV and Betty, It's always easier hearing one side of every story. If you continue to associate with these thiefs, use caution guys, just think how easy it was for them to screw me over, they'll do the same to you.
I miss this place already, almost feels like a relative passed. I will miss all of you, all the newbies and their repetitive questions, and of course who will ever forget Paldo "The Sheep Fooker", and Coyote and that dolphin sex story. There has been some great times here, but all good things must come to an end it seems.
