I have a panasonic DMR-E85 being used in conjuction with a digital box for HDTV programming. When I am just watching TV with the DMR-E85 turned off, my digital box will change stations automatically... always to channel 8. I have no idea why. There is no timed recording setup on the DMR-E85. |

It is searching for updated program guide data. The E-85 performs this function in the off mode.

So how do you get around that?!? I am watching TV and it switches stations on me, then I have to switch it back? Should I just leave the E-85 on while I am watching TV so it doesn't change the channel on me then just leave it off over night? |
