I dropped my vcr from a height of 8 inches onto its front panel. Now the front panel buttons do not work. The vcr functions perfectly with the remote control, and the display lights are still on and functioning completely. The front panel buttons just will not respond, even the power button. I unplugged it for a day to reset, but it did not help. The model is Go Video DDV9500, dual-deck vcr. I can do simple repair -- is this fixable? Thanks for any help. |

You could take the faceplate off and see if a plug came loose. It may have cracked the circuit board. If so it can be repaired if it's not too bad, but it would have to be done by someone who has experience working with circuit boards. If the board is cracked you could probably see it if the faceplate was removed. |
