Will an xbox with 720p games run on a 1080i hdtv ? Thanks.

It depends upon the TV. Most HDTVs wont sync a 720p siganl. Others upconvert everything you send to them to 1080i.

1080i has its advantages and disadvantage. 1080i of coarse has a higher horizontal resolution (1920) but because it's interlaced, only 540 lines are on screen at any given moment. Also, since it's interlaced, there is some blinking, scan lines and motion artifacts, especially when watching regular 480i material.. You'll have to do some trial and error and compare for yourself.

I am also trying to find the answer to your question because my Mitusubishi 65869 is not working with my Xbox at 720P. I did read in another forum that someone called Mitsubishi and the rep stated that the Mits would not upconvert 720P from a game console.
