Hello,

I read many of the other topics but didn't see anything relating to my specific question. I live in New Jersey was was wondering if you have Basic Comcast Cable, like 20 local/national channels (around $10.00 a month) and don't have a box (cable goes directly into TV) is there a way of getting any more channels using a descrambler/black box?

We did have a better Comcast TV package that gave us just over 100 channels and when I got that turned off, a contracted cable guy came and did something to a grey box on the side the house. I'm guessing we have digital cable feed around here because I can still see some channels but it's bad picture and audio is messed up, yet there is no cable box.

We have a very old setup in our house and the cable was recently installed. The cable guy said that he hasn't seen an old setup like we have had in a while.

You think if I reconnect what he touched in the grey box on the side of the house we could get full cable again without them knowing?
