a local guy has offered to get me a dishnet receiver that has no access card but with a 3 dish setup it can get up to 2000 free channels. Is this for real?

that sounds like a free to air and alot of them can be programmed to recieve dishnetwork (including ppv) channels on top of the other channels. So if the price is good and you trust him go for it.
