I'm connected with a HDTV, digital cable box and the Panasonic dmr-e80. The recorder and cable box don't want to get along. When I go thru setup it always ends with it not reading the connection. It suggests tuning to a local PBS station and trying again. We have 3 such stations and setup doesn't work with any of them.
Is it the cable box or the recorder having the problem? I am connected to the cable box with s-video. The cable box does not have an RF output.
Everything else is working just fine. Reception is good, instant recording is great, I just can't use the timer recording.
