Using my Cam-corder as a "link", would I be able to back up my DVDs using the "video in" RCA jack on my Camcorder and go out of the "i-link" (firewire) port into my i-link equipped DVD recorder?

Quality is of little importance for this becuase all I want to do is back up the DVDs my daughters watch (Barney, Dora and such) so they can destroy the cheaper copies instead of the expensive originals!

I have been looking at several of the cheaper DVD recorders and noticed a few have the i-link in for ripping DVDs from the camcorder...

Has anyone tried this? I'm probably going to get the Aiwa DVD-R I saw on Amazon....
