Our TV problems began when small white squares showed up on top of the TV image; that progressed to bright green vertical, sometime plaid stripes and then to no picture at all. We took the TV to the repair store, where they diagnosed the problem as a bad bearing in the color wheel and they replaced the color wheel. The set is now home and all is working well EXCEPT for when a dark shiny object is on the screen, like the sheen from a dark piece of fabric, i.e., man's suit. The image becomes greenish/purple and is soft and blurry.
We've gone to Menu/Picture/ and adjusted colors, sharpness and contrast, to no avail.
I'd really appreciate any suggestions on how to correct this.
