ahhhh- i know this is ridiculous. I just bought a new dvd player and television, and the dvd player is only recognizing the hdmi cable. This isn't necessarily a problem but the non-hd movies i have look really weird. I don't have cable yet so i don't have anything to compare it to - help!

I don't understand how the DVD player recognizes anything.

Mine outputs video+audio on all the outputs. I pick the one I want to use. Select the corresponding video+audio input on the TV.
