Hello,
I need help. I am currently living in Brazil and tv's aren't as cheap as in the USA. Plasma tv are 3x more expensive than in the USA

I purchased a LG Plasma Tv in 2006. I think it is a 50' inch and it was really expensive.

Just yesterday we were watching TV then for some reason the tv size got smaller and smaller. I turned it off and turned it back on and now it no longer works. I think that there is a crack not on the glass but on the dielectric layer of the plasma tv. The guy from the shop came to my house and said there is a 20 cm crack on the screen.

How can this happen? How can a crack on the screen just occur without doing anything? I was just watching TV.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Is there a possible fix?

Thank you.
