if your going to 30" inch to pick-up more channels, you might as well go to 6' - 8' foot ku band, alot more english channels you will be able to get..

and being you live in canada, on a hill, with no obstructions... should be a better choice..

Us city dwellers cannot use a ku-band dish :-(

You can see what sat/ channels are available here www.global-cm.net/MPEGlistKuBandUS.html

motorized dish is good - you can find some feeds of interest -(at times)-

macra12 is describing C band dish -( 6 '- 8' dish)

Adi Tunkl: With a 39" motorized dish, the number of sats is not the issue. Just choose the right LNB for your needs. Wait till Plymouth can answer you with more details. He has a 36" motorized Dish in Quebec

Adi Tunkl

I get 26 satellites with my 33" motorized dish, but you must buy a Invacom Universal Linear/Circular LNB QPH-031.

This is very hard to set a motorized dish, if you can found a experienced person for do this, it will be easier for you, because you can try to aim it a complete week and not get all satellite as possible.

Plymouth: Could you please comment on getting 118.7 with the LNB you have suggested? Perhaps Adi Tunkl can specify the level of interest in internationals.
