I have a sony RDR-VX 525 NO REMOTE FOR THIS
i have a sony dvd player with remote RMT-D165A
I HAVE A HARMONY ONE REMOTE
My sony rdr-vx with no remote is having a issue that I have pushed the wrong button, it is somehow on dv8 and I can not record to DVD now.
the dvd remote RMT-D165 A works some on the RDR-VX525 but I can not get into the program/setup screen
need help  |

I was able to get into program once with the harmony one remote and there i highlighted the dv8 by mistake at this point I have not been able to find the set up program again. Like it is hidden since I screwed up!!! If or when I ever get this figured out I promise not to ever go to program again |

for that you first have to find some solution for your problem...
anyways i guess you should each and every button on remote or the set y pressing and see if any button works with this problem.... |

I have pushed every button and then some, and thought about making more buttons to push.
Maybe I will just have to purchase the correct remote this harmony one is cool but i am close to throwing it in the lake. |

You need to reset the recorder. Try holding the power on the unit itself for 10 seconds. If it doesn't work contact Sony and ask them how to reset it. |

called sony had to push enter and then the one to get the remote to work and then that messed up then went to enter and the number 3 now it all works after I was able to get into settings and do a factory reset.
