My recorder all of a sudden has quit reconizinging my pre-recorded DVD's and will not recognize any of my blanks to initialize.
Is there some way of doing a reset on this machine? It has been a great recorder, and this just did start happining, i have tried over 6 different brands of blanks, and the ones they recommend. it says unfamiler disk, please check disk. and pops it out. plese help thanx!!

I'd try opening it and cleaning the lens. You've probably got a bad burner. Standalone burners don't last very long. Some LG recorders use a PC type burner that can be easily replaced.
