Hello, I have a samsung HL-S5086W projection TV and it has an image problem. Judging for what I have been reading on various websites, it seems like it has convergence problems. I see a ghost image in the background and where the 2 images meet it is out of focus. It is pretty bad actually. The TV is only about 3 years old, but I do not have the money to pay to get it fixed, so I would really like to fix it myself.
Can anyone tell me how hard it is to change the convergence boar (or chip) in the TV model? I also need the part number. Also, any idea if this would be worth fixing? I found one web site which they put together a kit for to fix this problem. The price seems reasonable…
I would really appreciate any help in this matter!
