Hi. I'm fairly new to Directv, and have a question about access cards.

I currently have four Hughes HBH-SA standard receivers with the default access cards they came with. A friend who switched from DirecTV to cable gave me his old Sony HD200 HDTV receiver, but without the access card.

I know nothing about how the cards work, and am looking to keep my install legit. I tried the access cards that came with the Hughes in the Sony, and they don't work.

Can I use my existing access cards, or do I need the original that came with the Sony box? And, since my understanding of how the whole access card system works, are there any primers to read up a bit?

Also, one additional question about HDTV. Does DirecTV currently offer any network programming in HD (and do they plan to), or is a separate antenna always required?

Thanks in advance.
