Hi
I have a Samsung DLP model HL-T5075s. I turned it on and had no picture and heard crackling coming from the back of the tv. I opened up the panel and see a bluish purple light, on the board right behind the lamp. I called Samsung, and they just told me to call for service. Any ideas on what this might be? |

Hi Victor,
I think this could be a piece of the color wheel, sometimes they shattered sending out broken pieces. A bad color wheel makes a loud screeching, whining, or winding sound and sometimes the TV vibrates so if you have these symptoms then you may need to replace the color wheel.
