turn it on, it plays for about 10sec, screen goes off and then 5 sec later the audio goes off, anybody got answers for me |

Hi Robert,
It sounds you might have a bad lamp, but let’s troubleshoot first.
The lamp works with mercury gas so it has a lifespan of 6000 hours in average. So if your TV is more than 2 years old and if you haven’t changed the lamp… then it’s most likely your lamp is faulty. Symptoms of a defective lamp are:
>Audio with no picture
>Picture gets dimmer
>Audio and video for a couple of minutes or seconds and then the TV turns off

Note: Also try taking the lamp out and check if it shattered.
